Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Alison Doody made her feature film debut as an actress and Bond girl with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was invited by a photographer, and began to take on the role of model. Then she began an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and nude work a clause which allowed her to pursue an acting profession. In the event that she was brought to director's attention in the role in a James Bond film, Doody took on a part on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Her first lead role was in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery her agent as well as girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She had been chosen as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody, who had been absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 to take on a tiny role in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her in a scene at the ceremony for awards. She also appeared in 2004 in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She was also set to play the lead role for The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. She began her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She also was on the show as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
